    Description

    This carving is an
    antique hand carved wooden TIKI MONK OR OLD MAN
    6" hi x 3" wide x 2 1/2" deep
    It appears to be a
    monk with a robe on, with a walking stick in his right hand
    He has a
    long beard, deep wrinkles in his forehead
    I'm listing some
    very old souvenirs from an estate in my home town
    They all have been
    marked with the state where the couple traveled, along with the date
    This one is marked
    "NC 25"
    on the bottom
    I looked up
    North Carolina wood carving; it was a huge business in the state from early 1900s to 1940s
    Appalachian, mountain areas, all over the state had carvers working to make a living.
    This
    old man has a 'light area" on the right side of his head
    , doesn't come off with rubbing
    Will let the buyer try to remove it. It's
    NOT as light as it appears in the photo
