TRIA Beauty Laser Permanent Hair Removal System original w/ skin sensor/ charger

Description

This Tria laser hair removal tool powers on and unlocks with the sensor, but the laser doesn't activate.  When pressed against the removal area, there are two beeps, about a half second apart.
I suspect that the charge does not hold for long enough to power the laser.  I'm hoping that someone else could use this for parts or knows how to fix it.
I did replace the battery in the sensor with a new 5 year battery (September 2021) as that had run out.  There is a bit of damage from the prying tool I had to use to open up the sensor case, but it works as expected and unlocks the laser.
