    Description

Orville Wilbur Wright Brothers First Flight Kitty Hawk Centennial Paperweight.  Here's a clear paperweight that's etched with the years 1903 and 2003, marking the 100th anniversary of man's first flight.  It's also etched with a historical image of the Wright Brothers successfully flying an airplane for the first time on December 17, 1903, on the beach of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Orville piloted the gasoline-powered, propeller-driven biplane, which stayed aloft for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet on its inaugural flight.
This paperweight, sold in museums back in 2003, is made of clear lucite, making it neat to look at from different angles.
Nice used condition with no cracks or chips.  Has three truly microscopic flea bites, two on the top and one on the back; none on the all-important front. Some minor surface scratches on the bottom. Overall, a neat collectible from 19 years ago for aviation and history buffs.
    Measures 3" x 2" x 2", weighs 1.1 lb.
