    Charles Augustus Lindbergh [1902 1974] was an American aviation pioneer, nicknamed ''Lucky Lindy'' who in 1927 emerged from virtual obscurity as a U.S Mail pilot to instantaneous world fame as the result of his Orteig Prize winning solo nonstop flight from Roosevelt Field on New York's Long Island to Le Bourget Field in Paris, France. This historic flight began on May 20, 1927 and covered 3,600 status miles in 33 1/2 hours and was flown in a single-seat, single engine plane built by Ryan aircraft builders named the Spirit of St. Louis.
    Listed for auction is a wonderful display which contains the authenticated autograph of Charles Augustus Lindbergh. The autograph is signed on dinner program for a event held to honor United States general Nathan F. Twining who was the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. The event was held on December 4, 1954, at the Waldorf, Astoria in New York. The program is titled Air Power For National Security and the autograph is signed on the cover ''Charles A. Lindbergh'' in black fountain pen. The autograph is bold and easily read and the program measures 11.25 x 8.75 inches [7.00 x 9.50 visible], it has trivial toning/wear otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph has been authenticated by JSA Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The display is centered around a wonderful colorized image [8.00 x 10.00] of Charles Lindbergh standing in front of the Spirit of St, Louis. Mounted to the right is the program as described above and below is a professionally engraved plaque which reads as follows, ''Charles Lindbergh ''Lone Eagle'' February 4, 1902  August 26, 1974. On May 21, 1927, Lindbergh completed the first solo, nonstop transatlantic flight in history, flying his Sprit of St. Louis from Long Island, New York to Paris, France. Air Power For Security Original Program. The display has been professionally assembled with great attention to detail as follows. Each item within the display has been triple matted in a gold linen outer matte and accented with a silver and black inner matte. The display has been assembled in quality black/gold wood frame to the dimensions of 23.00 x 21.00 inches.
